Multidisciplinary Artist Mild (Marie Gordon) leads projects along the themes of connection, play & empowerment. Her work explores community issues, and our shared climate and biodiversity crises to spur positive action. She a socially engaged art practice, with BA in Illustration (2011) and MSc in Climate Change Communication (2021).

Her most recent project ‘Tern the Tide’ from 2023-2024, was shortlisted for a ‘Creative Sustainability’ Business to Arts Awards in 2025. It was funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media in collaboration with the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, and also by Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail as part of the CIÉ Sustainability fund. This large scale collaborative artwork led by Mild engaged with the adult Kilcoole community, Co. Wicklow, celebrated the important work of BirdWatch Ireland charity at the local NPWS Little Tern conservation. It culminated in a permanent sculpture at Kilcoole station of repurposed railway signage, native wildflower planting and a Little Tern flag made from recycled polyester.
